Mairi Campbell is a pioneering musician receiving critical attention for her remarkable singing, powerful concerts and unique solo music theatre productions that push the boundaries of Scottish traditional music. Her music has a rooted quality, encompassing wide-ranging interests from Scottish dance music to soundings and improvisations. Combining voice and viola, Mairi has been the recipient of six national music awards including Instrumentalist of the Year (2017), Tutor of the Year (2016) and Scots Singer of The Year (2008) at Na Trad Awards. As an interpreter of Scots song, with David Francis, Mairi has contributed a significant number of songs to its current canon. She is the recipient of six national music awards including the Inspiration Award in 2018. Mairi has been working with producer Dave Gray at the Sound Cafe studios in the Pentland hills over the past 8 years.

As CampbellGray Mairi and Dave have released two albums featuring music from Mairi's stage shows Pulse and Auld Lang Syne. A new album of material is waiting expectantly in the wings for a late 2019 release.
